Yoga is good for the body, and these new face yoga poses are also intended to be beneficial for the face as yoga is to the body. Face yoga is aimed at helping you tone and relax facial muscle. I found this interesting article about face yoga at totalbeauty.com.
The article points out that relaxing the facial muscles, especially where we hold tension (the jaw, brow, and forehead) can counteract the wrinkle-causing grimacing we do on a daily basis. click on the link below to see the full details.

Age spots are also called solar lentigo or liver spots. You can suffer from age spots due to excess pigment that accumulates in the skin as a result of long-term exposure to sunlight and other ultraviolet light.
I came across this article on livestrong.com which shows that Age spots require no medical treatment and are considered harmless. Natural remedies you can use to get rid of it include lemon juice and yogurt. To read the full article click on the link below.
Daily Solution
Step 1
Get rid of age spots using lemon juice and yogurt by simply rubbing them into the affected area once per day. Apply the lemon juice to your age spots first and allow it to dry completely.
Step 2
Apply pure, whole yogurt to your age spots once the lemon juice has dried. Dab it on lightly, just enough to cover the spots without sliding off your skin.
Step 3
Allow the yogurt to remain for at least 10 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Repeat daily and you should notice results in a few weeks.
Weekly Solution
Step 1
Make a honey, lemon juice and yogurt age spot treatment with simple ingredients. Combine 3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice and 3 tbsp. fresh lime juice together in a small mixing bowl.
Step 2
Add 2 tbsp. honey and 2 tbsp. plain, whole yogurt to the juice mixture and stir to combine. You should be left with a thick, creamy consistency.
Step 3
Gently massage the mixture into your age spots and allow it to remain for at least 10 to 15 minutes, or until dry. For the best results, do not rinse. In her book “The World’s Best Kept Beauty Secrets,” Diane Irons recommends performing this treatment at least once per week until you achieve the desired results.
Twice Weekly Solution
Step 1
Create your own lemon and yogurt age spot lightening cream by blending 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice, a small peeled potato, ½ small cucumber and 1 tbsp. yogurt on high speed until smooth in a blender or food processor.
Step 2
Press the puree through a fine-mesh strainer to remove lumps if necessary, then apply the mixture directly to your age spots and cover with a hot towel.
Step 3
Leave the mixture on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing clean with cool water. Stephanie L. Tourles, author of “Herbal Remedies for a Lifetime of Healthy Skin,” recommends using this age spot treatment twice weekly for the best results.
Tips and Warnings
- Try using a simple lemon juice and yogurt treatment for age spots once per day and the more complicated treatments once per week. It will take time, but you’ll notice your liver spots getting lighter after several weeks of consistent treatments.
